I re-enabled the sound card, the game loads as usual, then crashes at the same point in the game. It doesn't matter, I'm almost completely certain that it's not the scripted entities causing trouble. I also updated the link in my previous post to reflect the updated file. It's almost certainly a sound issue, but it seems to be a game file problem and not a hardware driver problem. It's kind of a thrill to install lots of different games, with their pretty-looking and cool-sounding splash screens. I haven't yet done anything further to isolate exactly what SMAC plugin module is causing the problem. No bandwagon or direct reply posts. Sorry your having the same problems. As the Pig said, drivers are never steady-state; they're always changing. In my gamemode with not a lot of modifications from the base, I make the prop_physics and the prop_physics_multiplayer entities fixed so players cannot move them. check over here All rights reserved.
I can't be certain, but it seems to happen when tossing certain scripted physics entities around.
